That Z32 is gorgeous dude.. I'd miss that too.

I miss my 97 Saturn SL1 quite a bit. Rock solid reliable and the first car I paid cash for, for only $800, and trusted it to go anywhere. Was just a cheap reliable DD and it never let me down.

That being said I also miss my '01 Neon R/T because it was fun, and also reliable.

00 corolla - rare 5 spd, super reliable, excellent on gas, should have kept it as a second car forever.

04 S2000 - i had it setup perfectly, just got tired of the gutless powerband, but the looks made up for it.

02 z06 - sold it only to make money, awesome car. now saving up for a new one.

1989 Mazda Miata. Driving bliss.

Honorable mention to a 1984 Nissan Pulsar. I would drive it like I stole it all the time, and barely exceed the speed limit. I learned the meaning of "stable at the limit".

71 buick skylark. first car, had a 200r4, 3.42's and the highest output small block they made (unless you count a GNX V6, maybe). iirc 315hp/410ft lbs (gross...probably like 250/325 or so in modern ratings), plus some headers and a nice exhaust, some carb tuning, electronic ignition. couldn't do burnouts because the back end wheel hopped so violently, lol. the bane of a 16 year old's existence.

i rebuilt the front end with urethane stuff and stuck one of those giant trans am sway bars on the front. hotchkiss springs and KYB shocks. just needed to do the rear bushings, but ran into engine troubles and it sat for years before it ended up in a friend's hands. a few more years and it still sits on his property waiting for me to build an engine. and then i'm going to have to figure out how to be a bodyman and hang some new quarters on it, lol, that should be fun.

My 1996 Accord Coupe 5 Spd Manual which I had from 2004 to 2010, totaled.

- Great gas mileage
- Drove it everyday like I stole it for 6 rough years of college
- Never needed any major maintenance though I bought it used with 120K on the ODO and put near 50K on it (replaced CV boots and radiator but that's it in 6 years of ownership)
- I would love to have it again as a spare car

Replaced in 2010 with an 07 CTS 3.6L Sedan which I'm beyond impressed with still after 2 years of ownership

before i had my license i drove a 84 pulsar. great car! and i drove it like it was stolen as well, but mainly because it was stolen. it had been cleaned and retitled, and had "legal" paperwork for it while i drove it. the guy that got it after me wasnt as lucky as i was, he spent 3 years in jail when he got caught in it.

1969 Chevelle SS 396

Sure wish I had hung onto that one

my friends shop has had 3 different chevelles to restore over the last year. a 69 with a crate 350, a 70 with stock 350 and the latest is a very well done SS454. i love moving those things around the shop area, very fun cars to drive.

Firebird. It was a 2.8L too. Car had 230k miles and I put 120k of those on there. Rebuilt the top end myself - the bottom didn't need it. Had no cat, and a shittily patched exhaust (from hacking out the cat *literally* with a hacksaw). Rebuilt transmission, did all suspension work (bushings) even dropped fuel tank for a pump once. Loved the shit out of that car. I could literally fix anything on it. I was carrying a transmission from the JY in the hatch when a soccermom ran a red light and t-boned the passenger rear. Car spun 3x and the wheel snapped off at the axle. Transmission in the back flew out and hit a BMW. I'm honestly lucky it didn't go through a windshield it only marred her (the bimmer owners) wheel. Never gonna carry anything that big without securing it.

I have had so many that were special in different ways!
But this one had the whole package:

Fully loaded, rode like a Cadillac, dependable (Sold it at 160K+ with just a thermostat change & one set of Brake pads).
Only drawback was it got a steady 9 MPG, no matter what.

My '99 Mustang GT. I miss it, but it kinda depresses me to think that a new V-6 Mustang is faster. I rode in a 2000 Mustang recently, it seemed loud and everything felt like it was going to break. I don't remember mine like that, but it probably was.

Its a mix between 3 vehicles.

1980 subaru brat. Metallic blue with cloth seats. Fun to drive around with the 4 speed manual, 4wd, and 1.6 liter engine. Flipped it on the way to school my senior year and sold it to a farmer who put big round bales of hay in the bed and drove it into the field for the day to feed his cattle.

1980 Datsun 280zx with T tops. 5 speed, fast for me at the time, but only had like 120 bhp with the 2.8 liter straight six. Beautiful car, but had rust cancer.

1982 Mazda RX7. Paid $50.00 for it from a guy I worked with, adjusted the carb, and drove it for a few years while in college. Wasn't anything special, but was a blast to drive.

I'm really enjoying my 2000 VW jetta VR6 right now also. Light car, 176 hp, 5 speed, fun fun fun to drive, if not a bit cramped. ok on gas also.

'81 Jeep CJ

That thing went anywhere I told it to. Great in the summer with the bikini top and no doors.

I'll second this, mine was a CJ7 and I loved it. I usually left the doors on to help cut down on the wind through the passenger area though. The first time I took the roof and doors off, I had a full can of coke get picked up off the hump between the seats and fly across my lap and out onto the road. The addition of the bikini top and leaving the doors on made it much nicer.
