Hank cracks me up. I think he's my favorite.

I like Hank too. Saul was great also. Jesse always kind of bothered me with his stupid drug addiction and he was kind of a bitch at times. Then there was Mike, he was a great character and the writing around his character in Saul is fantastic IMO. Walt's wife is a PITA, I think everyone hated her.

Top three are Hank, Saul and Mike in no particular order... can't say which one I liked best. They are all fantastic.

(do I dare admit it?)

I've never seen a single episode of BB. Not one...ever...therefore, I have no favorite character...

He wasn't prominent enough to be a true favorite - it'd be like saying your favorite football player is a special teams guy - but Skinny Pete was awesome. Of the main characters, I'd have to go with Walter but Hank is pretty close.

Oh damn, I totally forgot about Mike. Yeah I'd say he's behind Hank as my favorite.

Too hard a question on the wholesale, it depends on the season for me:

Season 1: Hank
Season 2: Saul
Season 3: Gus
Season 4: Mike
Season 5.1: Todd (underrated character)
Season 5.2: Walt by a mile

Tough one between Gus and Mike. Both were characters that rarely (if ever) left me face palming their stupidity. Mike felt like a more "real" person and I thought he was a very understated character in the show.

Both of the main wives annoyed the shit out of me. I think my wife was annoyed by them even more than me so it's not just me being a misogynist.

while i loved mike's character, he did not feel "real" to me at all. he's some 70+ year old dude (guessing his age based off him probably being around 60-65 on BCS) that anyone could beat the shit out of. it's like he had super powers or something in the show since he was the muscle that ran shit. even some of the stuff he does on BCS is pretty LOL worthy, as much as i like his character.

Like the beating he took from Tuco?

I've never seen BCS so I had no age reference. He seemed like hard-lifed mid 50's to me. Not 70. Never put much stock into his age.

He is also prominently featured in Orphan Black.

As for the topic at hand, Gus is probably my favorite, but I have some deeper picks:

- Lydia Rodarte-Quayle

- Huell and Kuby

- APD Detectives Kalanchoe and Munn

- The bank employee who escorts Mike's lawyer to his safety deposit boxes (the one who he brings baked treats for).

While I thought Lydia had a level of hotness to her hot mess, I thought she was a weak link at times. As one of the few characters that frequently lacked composure on the show, I thought her acting at times was also weak and over the top.

If anything, BCS has shown that Mike is beyond the physical type of stuff. Most of what he does isn't from physical might, but some intimidation on top of good planning. He knew he couldn't beat Tuco, so he took a beating from him just to get him arrested.

They actually have done a very good job showing how he could be so intimidating despite being so old.

Jonathan Banks is in his 70s, fwiw. In Breaking Bad, I also figured him for 50s/early 60s. Not nearly as old as Banks actually is.

Krysten Ritter's character.

For major characters though, Saul and Mike, and I'll give an honorable mention to Huell.

Most other characters I usually wanted to slap with a trout.

Edit: As for Skyler, I hated her at first but as I grew to dislike Walt more and more, I softened on her. I wouldn't say I ever liked her, but I empathized with her.
