...Then I visited New York and London, for instance. Wow. You guys can't make pizza for sh!t. It was some disgusting stuff, and I tried multiple places. One place in NY even had cut up BREAKFAST SAUSAGE-tasting sliced links with the casing as the topping for their normal "sausage pizza." And another with greek gyro/lamb meat as a topping.

And even worse, most of the crusts were either wet and microscopically thin, soggy and overly doughy, or burnt to a blackened crisp. What the hell, people? It's just pizza, how can you screw it up?

You don't like New York pizza?

Midwestern pizza is way too thick and lacks spice.

Its also nothing like the original Italian stuff.

No, it was almost worse than London pizza. Like I said, it was usually WAY too thin and soggy (so when you picked it up it was like trying to eat a wet paper towel) and the spices and toppings were also just ridiculous (I mean, really, who likes sliced breakfast sausage on their pizza instead of good italian sausage? ).

I lived in Chicago for my whole life up until 2 years ago. I spent my high school years hanging out at the Malnati's in Lincolnwood. Anyone on the far NW side of Chicago: try Colletti's on Central and Elston for some great thin crust. Been going there since i was a baby.

Now I live in Seattle. There is no such thing as good pizza here.

I am very sad.

Yeah ...they come in a bowl, and then they scoop out the pizza for you on a plate.

CPOG

They also have really good salad, and mediterranean bread.
