Let's see, some extensions I can't live without include:
- CookieSafe - I'm paranoid about privacy. Goes with NoScript well.
- GreaseMonkey/Platypus - to customize web pages. For instance, I make TitanTV list only the channels I want, without entering more than my zip code.
- Download Statusbar - prevents that giant download window from covering the page I'm browsing.

Some other interface tweaks:
- Linkification - turns what looks like a web link into a web link. I can't demonstrate it because this site does it too.
- Highlander - I have tons of tabs open; this keeps the noise down a little.

Adblock (of course)
Download Statusbar (Instead of opening download window, it tracks downloads in the status bar)
IE Tab (Renders window as IE would)
Locationbar (Highlights root web site so I get hints when I'm getting phished...)

I use LittleFox theme...so more of the screen is used for doing stuff

I use Adblock Plus and that's it. I used to mess around with various tab plugins, but I like how they work in the newer versions so I find I don't need them.

I'd recommend removing Filterset.G with ABP.

WOT (Web of Trust) by far, it minimizes the need for NoScript if you find whitelisting tiresome.

It also means I don't end up at lots of useless/malicious websites when searching on Google.

Thanks for the heads up.
Filterset.G was one of the first filter lists so I stuck with it.

Noscript only here. It's great to surf knowing some site is not going to totally compromize my browser or even my PC through some hax javascript code. This extension also makes me realize how badly coded most sites are now a days. 90% of sites wont even display any content if you don't enable JS. Sad really.

Since when does requiring JS equate to a site being "badly coded"? With the exception of a small number of mobile phone browsers, all modern browsers are JavaScript-enabled, and JavaScript can greatly enhance a site's usability.

If you run an up-to-date browser on a properly secured operating system, there's very little that JavaScript can do to "compromise" your browser or PC.

JS should be used to enhance a site and add extra functionality, not for the actual layout. A site should still load and be viewable without any extra scripting.

My two favorite Firefox Add-ons:

Delicious Bookmarks
Delicious Bookmarks is the official Firefox add-on for Delicious, the world's leading social bookmarking service (formerly del.icio.us). It integrates your bookmarks and tags with Firefox and keeps them in sync for easy, convenient access.

StumbleUpon
StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests, learns what you like and brings you more.

I forgot IEtab. I use that a lot at work since most of the intranet stuff is IE only coded, but I can't live without tabbed browsing, and the search of firefox. (most, if all of our clients use IE 6 as IE 7 is not really mature enough for corporate use and wont work with most crappy web apps)
