Wow almost all the way through the thread before I noticed someone who stated Echoes as their favorite.

Echoes is their best song, the version done at Live at Pompei, and a version of it I have on a live CD from a concert in '73 in Europe are absolutley amazing!!!!

Floyd has so many great songs, I don't think I would say Comfterably Numb is even in the top ten. I understand everyone has their opinions, but come on people, Comf. N was written to be a radio played mainstream single to make them money.....great more power to you if you like it. It's not that it's a bad song, it's just overplayed and generic!!!

Comfortably Numb is mediocre by Pink Floyd standards.

My top 5 Pink Floyd tracks IMO:

1. Wish You Were Here
2. SOYCD I
3. Time
4. Us and Them
5. SOYCD II

I'm not very impressed with Animals or The Wall.
