Choose one from the poll.

New Haven is know for the best pizza in America and known for rivaling the New York scene.

Edit: I see you have the poll up now and Paducah ain't there. You should feel terrible.

New Haven? They have good pizza and burgers, but that's about it.

For Connecticut, the Hartford area actually seems to have more interesting restaurants.

Nationwide, New York wins on quality, quantity, and variety of food.

Those are the only 4 choices? Of that list NY has the best restaurants, LA the best street food. Chicago has crap masquerading as pizza and New Haven has nothing other than pizza.

New Orleans, San Francisco and Portland belong on the list.

I would have added New Orleans, Miami, San Antonio, Austin, Memphis, and San Francisco to the list as well.

what kind of crap list is that? it quite obviously should have SF, and yes, boston.

based on variety and level of execution, i'm just going to declare san francisco the winner.

one time i was watching food tv or something like that and they had a story on a restaurant in new haven. apparently the beta version of the hambuger (it used a thick slice of bread rather than a bun) was invented there and this restaurant still cooked them in the same 300 year old oven. i wanted to visit that restaurant when my sister graduated by alas i never made it.

Louis' Lunch. You didn't miss anything. 2nd rate burger served with a side order of attitude and pretension.

sf has lots of nice higher end restaurants but i dont know if its a foodie city, like if you get pizza, its gonna be good but not world class

I say new York only because I've lived so near it my whole life. Almost all the food I get there is on a completely different level then outside the city. Maybe its that city bias or maybe the food is that damn good... I don't care. Best Thai, Chinese, pizza, Mexican, steaks... Etc.

I will say Korean food in ktown is kind of weak compared to north jersey areas... But queens is supposed to make up for that.... Never had Korean food there though.

Why is New Haven on the list? Having some decent pizza makes a city a foodie town? It insults an even overrated town like Chicago.

IMO the SF Bay area as a whole, including Marin and Napa counties edges out NY - though this is based on living 11 years in the Bay area and only 3 years in Manhattan. But if you're in either area, consider yourself lucky.

No doubt in my mind that it's NYC.

there are 10X 3 Michelin star restaurants in the US, 7X of them are in NYC, 6 of them are in Manhattan. nuff said.

Respect to SF though, that used to be the old foodie city in the US, but after food TV stuff as a category moved to NYC it was over for SF.

If this is the finest NY has to offer, they can go ahead and leave the union.

Awful poll is awful.
