For some reason, I have had the jaunty theme from the Pirates! remake stuck in my head for the last day+.

I normally disable in game music..distracts from gameplay.
lol @ people disabling game music smh
I suppose because you believe that people don't have the right to dislike a game's music? Perish the thought.
The latest game in which I disabled the music was Dragon Age: Inquisition. Because other than the somewhat memorable main menu theme I genuinely disliked most of the soundtrack, with perhaps the exception of the Val-Royeaux theme which fits the place rather well (still, it isn't the type of music I'd listen to when not playing a game). There is nothing wrong or abhorant about disabling in-game music if you do have your own reasons to, and is nothing to " lol @ " about.
With this said, this subject could easily lead me to type a novel about what's my favorite gaming music. I can easily mention the ones that immediately come to mind, however. I would have to say that Frank Klepacki's soundtracks' quality has been almost perfectly consistent from the moment he touched the Command & Conquer franchise, and beyond (Dune 2000, Nox and Universe at War: Earth Assault, comes to mind if not talking about his musical C&C work).
Also, Jeremy Soule, what could I say about his inspiring music that hasn't been mentioned (other than the fact that I love his Morrowind and Oblivion soundtracks). There's also many good tracks throughout the entire Final Fantasy franchise's soundtracks library, made only possible by (or heavily inspired from) no one else than Nobuo Uematsu (and notably his iconic and masterpiece " One Winged-Angel "). I also absolutely adore David Wise's work for the Donkey Kong Country games (as well as Battletoads and Star Fox Adventures). I should also mention Jack Wall's stunning, perfectly-fitting soundtrack for Mass Effect 2.
I could of course go on and on but this type of thread is just a reason for an all-nighter for me.
Uh...what? What games and game genres does music distract you?
Do you also reach for a "disable music" button when watching movies?
