My hand to hand weapon of choice is the brass knucks.. Man that would feel good getting that close to a person and beating them in the head... when you have a perfect right.

Several posters are putting in blatantl stupid responses; guns, nuclear weapons, etc. Others are listing a bunch of weapons I doubt they know how to use. I know how to fence, but I'm not going to pretend that it would do much good in a real fight (I suck anyway). A tazer would be my best chance of not getting beatup/killed. If being called "a soccer mom" left me alive with you dead from the erroneous belief that a pair of brass knuckles makes you an utter badass, so be it.

Know what a shield is for? Deflect the tip to the side or down, and charge. Unless the dude with a spear keeps some sort of small, quick knife with him, that spearman is going to get messed up.

I suppose I would take either a 6lb short haft hand sledge or my bowie knife.
The sledge is basically a piece of steel filled with lead on a short handle that sits right on top of your hand and is used to break wooden beams in tight areas (think a crawl space.) I swung one for several years when I worked for a demolition company.

The bowie knife just because it is a super simple weapon that I have used since I was a kid.

Either way, the poor guy is not going to walk away.
