Favorite hardware of all time

Been a while since I have seen a thread like this, post your favourite piece of hardware you have ever owned.

Mine is easy, my Asus GeForce 4 Ti4200 128MB video card. I ordered a GeForce 6600GT to replace this card that I have had for 3 years now. I was getting a bit of chop in Far Cry, however the card overall runs Far Cry at medium settings pretty well. Easily the best video card I have ever owned, and has outlasted pretty much every other piece of hardware I have (save my floppy drive - I can't live without one of those). Not bad for a value card at the time.

Abit Nf7-S2. No CPU clock multiplier, but still got my barton 3000+ up to 2.4ghz with no issues. It's the first board to really turn me on to nvidia chipsets.

Best graphics card was definitely the geforce 256 ddr 64mb.

I have the NF7-S v2.0 as well, but I haven't had it for long yet. I wasn't impressed with the crappy northbridge fan, so I replaced it with the Zalman NB47J, other than that it seems pretty good.

I'd like to overclock my XP-M 2500+ past 2.2GHz, however I had to bump the VDIMM voltage to 2.9V on the Corsair VS 2x512 PC3200 just to get them stable at 200MHz. I have some time this week, so I am going to see if it's just one of the DIMMs that requires so much juice to run at the default setting of 200MHz, and try to get it replaced. I don't think I should have to run so much voltage to the RAM to get it running at stock speed.

I'll agree on the GFX card, except I'd pick the 32 MB version instead, the 64 MB one was just more expensive with no benefit.

Other notable mentions are my trusty P2B motherboard, the ole Pentium 90 MHz that I overclocked to 110(roughly) MHz.
Might as well throw in the venerable Celeron300A@450 MHz that I used with the P2B

I'm not talking about NF7-S v2.0, I'm talking about NF7-S2. They're different boards, the NF7-S2 doesn't have the option to change the CPU clock multiplier, while v2.0 does. I was running my PDP memory(2x512 pc3200 2-3-2-5 1T) at 223mhz with 3.0v VDIMM. Also my motherboard's chipset did not have active cooling.

Sorry I knew there were two versions. Guess I better get some sleep. And the people at Abit should also get some sleep before they come up with NF7-S v2 and NF7-S2 as two completely different products!

Does it have to be computer related? My first 286\16 with a 40meg HD. I learned DOS commands on my own and from looking over other people's shoulders. My favorite non comptuer related piece of hardware is my sunbust American made Fender Strat with Texas Special pickups and Schaler locking machine heads.

Mine is easily the SL2W8, the first Pentium II chip that was really a P2-450 but was clocked at 300mhz by Intel on purpose due to slow sales of the P2-450 and the high sales of the much cheaper P2-300. In those days I was able to get a P2-450 which was the premium chip at the time for the price of a midlevel P2-300. The P3-500 wasn't released yet.

Geforce 2 Ultra. It was so great, Nvidia decided to subsequently re-release it for the next 3 generations as the Geforce2 Ti and Geforce MX4xx and the Now Geforce MX4000.

When I got my Matrox Millenium 8 meg PCI somewhat 3D card and played the special version of Nascar racing that came with it and saw my first 3d accelerated game for the first time. I was in awe.

Asus P/I-P55T2P4 Support for 75 and 83Mhz bus speeds, no dividers to adjust so u got 37.5/41.5 PCI buses too!

Notable mention: Voodoo 1 and P3-500 (oldest hardware I have still in use somewhere).
