EDC is everyday carry
Too bad you cannot take these on airplanes any more. I bet the TSA has a ton of them because it is easy to forget you have it.

Hard to decide:

Mcusta "Tsuchi" - 2.5" VG10 blade, cocobolo handle, liner lock

Fallkniven 'TK3" - 2.5" laminated 3rd generation steel, Quince burl handle, lockback

Another Mcusta - I forget the name, but: 2.5" Damascus steel blade, beaten steel handle, liner lock

I also carry a Micra, but don't consider it my primary tool. If I'm working, I carry a Leatherman original also, pretty much exclusively for the pliers.

I have that little Gerber. Darn good knife.

Day to day I carry the Curve.

If I need a big knife its the Salt I from Spyderco.

I liek that one.
If I cannot find my Gerber, I might change up to that one. What do you like/not like about it?

I like:
Ergonomics, it fits my hand great
Sharp out of the box
Slices through stuff nicely
Smooth action and operating the lock is easy
Made in the USA

Don't like:
Blade could be a bit thinner (I like 3mm over 4mm)
I'd prefer the "wire" style pocket clip that Spyderco puts on some of their knives

Overall I'd give it a 9.5/10, it's the best EDC knife I've found so far.

Gerber EasyOut Skeleton... getting a bit hard to find so I order them a dozen at a time online.

I use them primarily to cut open boxes and bottles of chemicals... the muriatic acid eventually eats the tip off...

Once, when I couldn't find one at Academy, I bought a Buck lockblade... the latch was in a difference place. The first time I used it, the way I grip it, I pushed the latch and folded it up... and just about cut the tip of my finger off. That's when I found a source for the Gerber online.

Wouldn't something like a razor knife with replaceable blades be better for your use? Use one of those for opening chemicals, and keep a good knife for other things.

I love my Leatherman Super Tool 200. I used to have a Leatherman that was given to me as a gift, but I lost it, so I ended up getting a 2nd one.

On my keychain I have a Swiss-Tech Utili-Key. It's simply awesome! I can do everything with this thing.

What are the holes in the blade for?

Here's mine:

Böker Plus XS

Carry it everywhere, nice knife, but think I might replace it with a Spyderco soon.

I have a Gerber Hinderer and love it, but I do not carry it nearly as often as I'd like. I'm a bit wary of the concealed carry laws...
