you will need to use an echeck or a prepaid debit card.

Its obvious that your regular credit card company does not allow it since technically its illegal for them to make the transfer.

If you don't mind paying a fee, the easiest way is to buy a prepaid "All Access" Visa gift card from the gas station or wherever else they sell them. You can get a $100 card for about $106.95. Make sure you get the non-reloadable one. This is not the most economic route if you plan to deposit a lot of money, but you're paying a premium for convenience. It's getting harder and harder nowadays to find a way to deposit and withdrawal your money without paying a fee. It can be done, of course, if you are super determined, but those methods aren't as fast as driving down to the corner store.

lol, I tried using my CitiBank card for pokerstars, and they wouldn't accept it. I had someone call me, and the Costa Rica lady said that there's nothing wrong with my card. Just last week, they gave me free $2 courtesy credit to play. I never got to fund a deposit, heh. There isn't much room to squeeze with $2 in the Micro .02/.04 Limit.

I feel that even playing the micros, it is significantly harder at night than during the afternoon... what do you guys think

also, how reliable are these lesser known poker sites? Action Poker offers the most rakeback (35%). What about the 100% bonus for first deposit up to $2,500? I feel kinda iffy about putting that much for an off-shore site...

friend recently gifted me $20.00 on Full Tilt...

I've been playing these 90 player SNGs with a .50 KO bonus.

I've done pretty well playing in those. You get to see a lot of hands for 3.30...and if you knock a couple ppl out, its even cheaper.

Ive finished in the money 6-8 times...paid back the 20.00 my friend gave me.

About the lowest hand i'll play (in any position) is a J-10, I fold aces often...rarely play 6-8 suited or anything, unless i'm in position to see a cheap flop.

I hate, hate, hate A with a low kicker.
Yes, I know it can complete a straight.
I just don't like playing them.

I'm not saying I never will, but if i'm out of position i'm not playing a freaking A3 or something.

Got it. Thought you meant folding AA often.

Interesting, I was just thinking of posting a thread about online poker. I have been playing for free at PokerStars for quite a while and was thinking of finally taking the leap to pay poker and was just going to ask for thoughts/strategies for a noob.

Don't want to hijack though, so I'll try to just watch the discussion, but if anyway wants to through some advice out there, I'd aprpeciate it.

Hijack away! I just like talking about poker .

If you're going to play at Poker Stars, be prepared to grind it out. The players there are good and well disciplined. Very little bluffing from my experience - if someone is in a hand, they have cards.

Party Poker is the exact opposite and is, in my opinion, a terrible place to play. Besides the insane action you'll get from idiots drawing on a 7-3 looking for a straight, there has always been speculation that they employ "action flops" (flops designed to suck people into betting). I've seen some CRAZY shit at that site over the years and will never give them a dime again.

As for strategies, there's always the tried and true "tight/aggressive". I tend to play much better at real tables than I do online because there's so little information online. When I play online, I rarely try to put people on a hand. If I have cards, I bet 'em. If I don't, I get out. I save the "reading" for real life.

So you want to play against stronger players on Stars, and not play against bad players on Party just so you can avoid seeing "crazy shit"? Makes sense.

I haven't played online in almost 3 years, I just got burned out, but party and its skins were my usual stomping grounds back in the day.
