the aquabats are only good live, there music is ok if you are 7, otherwise its just boring to listen to them sing about after school parties and whatever else. They are crazy live, i saw them probally 5 years ago and they had fireworks taped to the guitars while they were playing. It was a good time.

more bands i like:

Smoking popes
Small Brown Bike
Lawrence Arms
Duval
Tuesday
The International Noise Conspiricy
Rocket From the Crypt

the definition of selling out is to change your style for the money, right? well how did blink sell out then? they're still the same crappy band from san diego playing the same power chords and the same immature lyrics. they're still goofballs on stage and the only thing different from pre enema to post enema is now they have 1 talented member

Never got into Ska. Too slow.
I like Skacore (which might be what you mean). Mephiskapheles is pretty dope. Operation Ivy it good. The Bosstones used to be good, but what the hell was with the last 2 albums? Now I'm ashamed to be caught listenting to them.

their sell-outs to the regard that they changed to pop crap to make them selves more famous and to gain more money. otherwise they wouldnt have been as popular imo.

I like a lot of the bands listed here, but here are a few that haven't been mentioned that absolutely rule:

Yellowcard
Rise Against
Piebald
River City High
Sidecar
The Benjamins
The Starting Line
Zero Down
Wizo

Keep in mind that you're doing yourself a great disservice by not putting all of these bands in your regular listening rotation. For particular song recommendations, hit me with a PM and I'll get back to you.

Close. You need to include the two lines (sorry, = was the best I could do) underneath.

<< ska = crap >>

and johneetrash = gay

Anyway...

Black Flag
Ramones
Mike Ness
Social Distortion
MxPx
Guttermouth
Descendents

and others, but those are the ones I could name offhand.

Edit: I used to think Offspring was good, but I hate them more with each new album. I saw them just after Smash was released, but before they really became mainstream. Guttermouth opened for them, and after seeing them play Offspring was a letdown. They were OK, but to be outdone by your opening band is just sad. Now Offspring is just a bunch of pantywaist pop prissies.

now seriously why is ska so good? i listened to it before. its just a buncha happy people dancing on stage and playing chords.

granted there are a few good ska bands (sublime, rx bandits in their hay day of a few years ago), but other than them everyone else is boring. i guess RBF is good but i never got into them.

but i guess when you have 15 members of your band on stage, 5 of which are on stage just to dance for you, i guess that makes you cool
