Indeed. The whole joke about 'jamming' the radar goes down the drain in such an awful way that it made me laugh again

That brings to mind the problem with some translated works from the ancient world - stuff like Greek plays, or even things like Shakespeare. A pun in the original language or dialect is likely to be completely blown away in the translation.


"A guy sent a collection of ten silly puns to a newspaper, in the hopes that they'd get published. Unfortunately, no pun in ten did."

Translate that to another language, and the pun at the end will be completely wiped out.
