Favorite TV episodes/moments

Slight guidelines:

Should be the kind of episode that rises above the usual, the kind of episode you might show someone who doesn't know anything about the show or story, the kind where you want someone to want to watch the show. Not necessarily the same as your favorite episodes, but probably some overlap there. Bonus if this crap is on Amazon Prime, Netflix, or Hulu :thumbsup:

So for me:

Stargate SG-1: the 2-part episodes Heroes and The Lost City. The full range of drama, comedy, action, special effects, acting, writing, etc. My eyes have problems at the end of Heroes. The end to Lost City gives me chills when the fleets clash.

Chuck vs The Ring (finale to season 2): pretty much the same. (Bonus for Jeffster being themselves).

Twilight Zone. A bunch of them, but Night of the Meek, and Passage For Trumpet stand out.

Battlestar Galactica - Resurrection Ship. The tension between the two ships and the standing order to betray each other on both sides combined with amazing visuals from the fight against the cylons. The part where they show it from Lee's POV was amazing.

When Henry/Benjamin is eating cereal in the hatch and wryly muses about what his plan would be if he was one of the others, really freaking Jack and Locke out.

Really cheesy, sorry - in season six (or was it five) when they walk past the cages from season three and Kate's dress is lying there, and then the Kate/Sawyer theme plays. That makes me pretty nostalgic every time I see it.

And, of course, one of the great last scenes of an episode ever - When Ekko and his brother walk away arm in arm as kids

a.k.a. the 'Lethal Weapon 5' episode.

And you guys posting about Lost and BSG are silly. Not just because those shows ended horribly, doing nothing but punching their loyal viewers in the dick and laughing about it, but because they are nigh-unwatchable as single, isolated episodes.

For Futurama, I'm gonna be a heretic and put a new episode among my favorites, as well as calling it a great episode for people who haven't seen much of the show. "The Late Phillip J Fry," probably more identifiable as 'the search for the backwards time machine.'

I completely forgot about that. What an amazing scene.

Like others, many of mine are from Lost. My favorite ep is where Desmond is jumping in time and it shows his relationship and connection with Penny. I think it was called "The Constant" or something. Simply amazing TV.

Haven't seen the one you mentioned, but I'd be surprised if it topped the William Shatner "Get a Life!" sketch on Saturday Night Live where he tells off a Trek convention.
