I love everything from Final Fantasy 7. I know they are just simple midi tunes, but I downloaded them all recently and they brought back so many memories of the places I visited in that game... There was something about the environments that drew me in, and the music fit the locations perfectly.

That game was awesome. Back when I got a SNES it was the only game I had other than Donkey Kong Country. I tried playing it about a year ago and I absolutely sucked at it.

On a side note, I have to say I'm kinda baffled by the music in the new Smash Bros. Quite a bit of the remixed stuff, I don't know why they would even make it like they did (a lot of the Mario music for instance). Some of the music has completely unnecessary speech in it (a couple of the Metroid songs), and then they put a ton of music from games that I honestly am left wondering why (Pikmin, Warioware, etc). Also, apparently it was too much trouble to just put all the music from the previous two games in (I really wish we could get the Kirby's Dreamland music from the first game). Seems to me like it would not have been that much trouble to put the original and then a couple of different remixed versions of some of the more popular music (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc). It would've been a godsend if they'd let you put music from an SD card for the custom stages, but of course there was no chance of that.

Well, I was not aware of any new sub forums, and a quick perusal of the ones showing up on my list does not seem to procure any such forum existing, so I would have to say no, there is not a music forum on Anandtech.

N64 Kirby's Dreamland music FTW, and the random talking on one of the Metroid stages is just fucking stupid. "Samus is stuck fucking somewhere, and she's *GUITAR RIFF* BLAH BLAH"

Smash Bros. really had awesome music, all three games. I randomly find myself humming the character select music from the N64 Smash
