Also, Need for Speed Underground (i forget if 1 or 2) has this awesome song by Snoop dogg, Riders on the Storm. It's a pretty bangin' track. I say this only as an honorable mention though, the rest of the soundtrack is nothing special.

Worst soundtrack by far is Burnout Paradise. It sounds like the kind of music I'd expect young white trash/wiggers to be into. Shitty rock and shittier rap... and somehow both were slathered with an overly generous helping of country.. *shudder* truly awful music..

Fallout 3's soundtrack - well it's GNR playlist anyway - is great. The Halo games have some good, epic sounding music. LOVED Interstate '76's funk-tastic soundtrack.

It was NFSU 2. Great track indeed.

The original Doom sound track by Robert Prince. It was primitive midi stuff but it was awesomely atmospheric anyway.

Nowadays, one of the first things I do when setting up a game is turn the music volume to zero., so I haven't heard much recent stuff. I play mostly on-line mulit-player FPS stuff, where the sound track just gets in the way.
