Oyster Bay Sauvingnon Blanc, NZ... can be had for under $9-10 on sale, outstanding SB
Geyser Peak Sauv. Blanc is another, more grassy SB that can be had for about $6-7 on sale.
It was mentioned before, but Chateau St. Michelle Reisling is very good for the price, and if you want to go big, their Erocia Reisling is very good, it can be had for about $18-19.
Locally here in Sacramento we get this brand called Forestville, which is equivelant to a 2buck chuck. The Sauv Blanc can be had for $1.99 on sale and is very nice as a weekday drinking wine. Pour some for friends, and they will never know how cheap it is... trust me I do it all the time
Chateau St. Jean Chardonnay is pretty good if you like oak usually right at the edge of your budget at $9.99, but all around they are a solid winery.
These are all pretty common brands that can be had pretty much everywhere. I am sort of at a loss right now, but if I think of anything else I will post it up.
