Books are surprisingly valueless. Unless it's unusual in some way, they don't command much money. I have a Sir Walter Scott collection from the 1840s, and it's worth about as much as a new set is :^D
Not really true. Certainly you can't tell the value of a book by its age but that's true of a lot of collectors items. Book collectors will pay a LOT of money for rare and sought after books though!
