I know that my HP computer has a program like that on it. It's called, Quick Link III. I think it came pre-installed with a bunch of HP crap though. -- mrcodedude
Symantec Winfax (made by Symantec.com) may be a total overkill for your or anyone else's home-faxing needs. It was quite difficult to configure last time I used it (a year ago). I believe they have a trial version, if you manage to find it on their poorly-organized site
How about doing a search for "Fax software" on Cnet.com?
I wouldn't use the Fax software that comes with Windows. It's plain, just like their Wordpad (compared to WordPerfect or WinWord). Get a professional (but shareware ) software like Winfax (Symantec) or any other, see my suggestion above..
infact I have a fax machine (HP 3100 printer/fax/copier) but I sometimes fax straight from the machine and I dont ahve to print.. ofcourse its a little more complicated to use the HP software so I use winfax for that .. since it uses my modem and no the printer port --> fax
Heck I still use (what I beleive to be) the 16 bit version of Bitware because I like the layout and simplicity of it lol. Communicate 32 stunk, FaxTalk stunk, FaxMaker (network version) was Ok. I still like bitware though.
