"Just one week from Election Day, the FBI has made a somewhat puzzling release of information related to a controversial pardon Bill Clinton made on his last day in office almost 16 years ago.

On Tuesday, the law enforcement agency released documents related to the former president's pardon of Marc Rich, a former hedge-fund manager who had been indicted on multiple counts of tax evasion, wire fraud and racketeering.

I thought Comey testified there was no evidence anyone attempted to hack it?

If nobody in the FBI is charged for violating the Hatch act, then it is effectively null at that point. I'm not sure how much clearer cut a situation can be that someone at the FBI violated it.

When it was first released it sounded like it was an accident or unplanned which sounds accurate but that doesn't relieve the Director of responsibly. He may be a principled guy but he's proving he's not a good manager. He needs to get his shit together real soon or he'll be asked to resign.
