Comey really is going over the line as far as his job at this point, by preemptively going this route 11 days prior to the election.

Would be akin to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue releasing statements regarding ongoing Trump IRS investigations.

Strange. In the OJ case there was a dead body, obviously murdered. I'm unaware of any evidence in any Hillary "scandal" that indicated a crime actually took place.

Reading the actual letter from the FBI here....I very well read this as "re-opened the investigation" <-- how else do you you read this? It's exactly what it is.

I read it exactly as most newspaper outlets are now reporting it.

From what I've read so far Comey has released information that there are emails on Wiener's computer that came from Hillary via Huma (or the like), that the emails are not in their possession and thus he has not seen them, that the emails may be copies of ones that have already been disclosed, that the FBI normally doesn't notify Congress of pending investigations but he took it on himself to make this move because he was afraid that the info would leak and so on and so on. It sure looks like it was a political move on Comey's part, especially since he hasn't seen a damned thing, has no idea if these are new emails or known ones and that Chaffetz has no plans to recall Comey to Congress before the election. This last part is important as it allows the Republicans to leave this hanging over Hillary until after the election.

In the end I don't think it's going to make any difference, Trump is still Trump and that's not an alternative for sane people. Our ballots arrived today and my wife and I are voting Hillary tonight.
