Something I've gained from these inputs is that a faster cpu and a midrange videocard are almost as capable, for a lot less money, than a fast cpu with a high-dollar 8800 card. I'm not seeing the 8800 as a good value right now at their current price levels.
Yeah, but my monitor's top resolution is 1280x1024 so until I get a new monitor(which I'm hoping to get soon) it makes no sense for me to upgrade my videocard.Originally posted by: davidober

That's because the tests are run at 1280x1024. Crank them up to 1920x1200 or higher, and you'll really start to see the 8800GTX systems shine...
