man I need more durgs.
Again, you didn't read my earlier post. It's about context and I already talked about the overreaction here. But there is real context, and this has actually been used, only months ago, on college campus, as a direct assault. When you have context (do you know what that means, by the way?) of highly publicized event of bananas tossed in trees to incite prejudice against blacks (this is real, by the way--it isn't fake news and you can't dismiss it out of convenience for your prejudice), then you have an understandable reaction to what that was. And, again, if you had read any of the information on this event, you would know that the row developed after the discussion of this, not because of it. It wasn't like a mob got angry as soon as they saw a banana peel--they met and discussed it, then some uppity folks, probably sharing your and my skin color, got angry that it was even being discussed. It's not like there was a note on the peel "LoL i'm a lazy fuck and couldn't find a trashcan, so I'ma leave my peel in the tree!"
Again, the relevant context:
--Bananas hung from trees with nooses on AU campus, in May, as a direct response to the first Black female elected student body president (This actually happened, and is well known).
--empowering of Nazis and white supremacists by our president and his supporters (so, you) in a very alarming, and very intolerable manner--and protesters to this kind of hate being killed by nazis daring to assemble and proclaim their "peaceful hate"
There is context. It matters. Stop being a fucking tool. The article about this that has so enraged simpletons was done so deliberately because yes--it obviously appears stupid when presented in such a way. The expectation is that you would never attempt to engage in what actually happened or consider the current reality we live in--clearly you didn't. So you're a dependable automaton for the racists that seek to keep conservative degression and influence as leading the charge in this country.
