Which one were you referring to?? It's almost a straight west-east trip, with Toronto slightly to the south as the map in that link indicates.

For me Salt Lake is about 1100km closer than TO.
I'll be staying home, but I doubt anybody will miss me anyway.

I'm headed someplace else tomorrow instead of Scallywags to scout it out, but I have all of next week free to do that. Since the after-midnight plans are separate from the restaurant plans, shouldn't you have come up with some definite plans about that yet?

Geesh, nice prediction there.

Went to Scallywags yesterday to sample the food and generally check out what they're like.

Pros:
Very accessible, though not heart-of-downtown like what I was looking for. It's basically right across the street from the St. Clair subway stop on the Yonge line. Affordable, pretty decent food.

Cons:
Small place, very dark, very limited selection of dishes - and to really kill it, you have to be 19+ to go in, because it's classified as a bar to allow smokers (which of there are lots). Scallywags is out.

Took some two pictures of the place anyway, under terrible lighting conditions: scallywags1.jpg scallywags2.jpg

Going to call up East Side Mario's on Front St. tomorrow and make the reservation (for the 23rd, 7:30 PM) for 30 people, I think. Is for less/more people a good idea? I think 30 is a safe number. I've been there and done a large party in their back area before, so that should work out. After that's done, I'll start PMing people and confirming personally. This should be close enough to the target date for people to know what they're doing that weekend.
