Bump for the afternoon.

I hate to be a voice of party-pooping, but the louder, noisier, etc, the first part of the gathering is, the less likely Elita and our then-newborn can come. She and I would definitely bow out before the "rowdy" second part, but we'd love to make it to something quieter before the real party gets going.

In fact, if most people want a rowdy sports bar for dinnertime, maybe we could meet some folks for an afternoon coffee before that? Having a newborn who will need to feed every hour / hour and a half kinda limits us to where/what we can do.

BTW, no baby yet, but its any day now.

eakers: I know this'll be T.O., but just to illustrate what we could manage (sorry, I'm not trying to be demanding):

Moose Winooski's - fine
East Side Mario's - fine
Kelsey's - fine
Crabby Joe's - fine
Mongolian Grill - fine

But something like The Flying Dog/Club Revolution (Waterloo), or the Trasheteria (Guelph) would be too much. And Hooters wouldn't be a good idea either...

BUT - we do NOT want to be demanding and if people like noisy then please don't feel like you need to change anything for us - we'll try the coffee thing or would regretfully have to back out. If it was just Elita and I we'd be in for anything, but having a newborn limits us (and a couple week old baby is too young to have babysat for more than a brief time).

Hey that sounds great! I think hanging out with you and elita and any others who prefer less rowdy stuff would be really cool. It would be more intimate as in easier to get to know people 'cause we won't hafta shout over anything y'know? I wanna make silly faces at the baby and see if I can make him/her laugh.

To KAT: It may be a slight possibility that Optimus and I could go w/out baby(depends on babysitting availability), in which case a sports bar would be alright.

I think maybe watching me nurse might embarrass some people, unless of course it DOES end up being at Hooters, in which case I should fit right in:Q

But like Optimus said, since we're parents with new little ones, we will have to bow out early.
If it looks like it might be too difficult for me to make it without baby attached to my chest, I definitely am sending Optimus at least...

I would really love to go, though, it's my birthday in Feb and it would be a fun way to celebrate!

I think I figured out what Kat is trying to say... she's saying that Docks won't be open as a club that night 'cause there's a concert going on there. And when she says "to party after" she just means afterhours, not after the concert.

But Kat, if Docks is a cool place to party, won't it probably be open after the concert? I don't imagine the show will go past 11-11:30pm... ?
