February cumulative patch for IE

MS security bulletin MS03-004. Just came out.

Anyone installed it on IE6 SP1 and experimented Explorer is kind of intermittently displaying the source code of Web pages instead of rendering it ?

I am not sure what your problem is. The only thing that I found on the site that even says anything about having problems is

This cumulative patch will cause window.showHelp( ) to cease to function. When the latest HTML Help update - which is being released via Windows Update with this patch - is installed, window.showHelp( ) will function again, but with some limitations (see the caveats section later in this bulletin). This has been necessary in order to block the attack vector that might allow a web site operator to invoke an executable that was already present on a user?s local system.

But I am not sure if this is what is causing your problems...
You could try Microsoft Product Support Services. There is no charge for support calls associated with security patches.

I am seeing this issue on my Windows XP Pro notebook since installation of the cumulative patch. So far the only time I have seen it is on sites like this one. It happens only when I use back page or forward page functions. Suddenly I'm staring at the source code. Hitting F5 causes the page to display correctly. ls this what you're seeing?

I do not see any problem, is was a friend of mine who described exactly the same thing you describe now. As nobody else until now had the same behaviour I instaled the patch anyway. Seems like there is something strange.

I've run across a few threads here and there about this behavior being noticed by people who've applied that cumulative patch. I'm going to test my home machines in a few hours to see if the problem has cropped up there. Not a big deal, really. But interesting.

Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough or helpful enough to gather a little linkage as I blew by those other threads. I just did a sort of Curly Howard "Oh, look!"
