Trump's memory has trouble reaching back mere days ago, I guess it shouldn't surprise us he doesn't seem to recall what happened the last time he and his handlers tried this. The contempt he has towards actual American lives is stunning. I'm sure it will prove quarrelsome, sparing him from having to spend too much time addressing that whole "not being exonerated" for obstruction.

They didn't have a replacement for ACA then, they don't have one now, but yeah go ahead Donnie. Maybe if you blow off enough of your foot no one will talk about your phantom bone spurs anymore.
He's doing this gas lighting on a daily basis, different ploys, different days..

It's okay guys, Trump has a foolproof plan to improve insurance, lower premiums, lower deductions, protect preexisting conditions, everyone will have insurance! He just can't tell you about it until after the elections in 2020!

That's only because Jared is so busy working on it, along with middle east peace, infrastructure, addiction, immigration, picking out new curtains for the state dining room, etc, etc, etc

"Beloved private health insurance" is quite the line, huh?

The GOP has this really great plan- cheaper, better, more convenient, covers everybody but they can't show us what it is until after we vote for it...

GOP strategists had to be shitting themselves when Trump started talking shit about healthcare because it's one of the last things they want to talk about at all between now & the election. They've done their best to sabotage the ACA every inch of the way & may well succeed by eliminating the penalty, filing suit, refusing to defend it & stacking the SCOTUS.

It wouldn't be their fault if they made it unconstitutional, would it?

There are still grifters selling him as some kind of preternatural leader. Imagine that. LMAO. There are MAGA chuds that have to read headlines like this and contort themselves into still believing in this shit.

For all the hell this country is going through, I have to admit I do get some enjoyment out of that.

Trump put Rick Scott on the job to push their new healthcare plan whatever that will be. That should worry a lot of people.

The new Florida governor is at least trying to fix some of the things Scott broke/cut.
DeSantis revives Drug Control Office that Rick Scott killed, names surgeon general
As a long-running opioid epidemic continues to grip Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis said Monday he intends to devote renewed resources to the crisis, reviving an office dedicated to prevention efforts and naming his pick to lead the state’s public health agency.

In an executive order, DeSantis reestablished the Office of Drug Control to help promote statewide substance abuse prevention and created a statewide task force to develop a strategy for combating the uptick in opioid use. The office, which had been created under former Gov. Jeb Bush in 1999, had been cut by former Gov. Rick Scott shortly after he took office in 2011.

GOP revolts, Trump's forced to face reality

Damn, they got to him. Trump delays to 2020. Still going to be a campaign issue because nobody believes Pubs when it comes to healthcare.

Yeah, I heard that and my first thought was the Republicans released a statement from the White House...lol. In the meantime, what's going to be real fun is if the court agrees with the Rump administration and declares the ACA unconstitutional. There's a bit more than eighteen months before the next election and if the ACA is ruled unconstitutional then there is plenty of time for mayhem on the medical front from Trump and Republicans. Voting for Republicans on the promise of a better medical insurance plan after they are elected is like paying up front for goods that can't be refunded up and hoping you won't be disappointed by the results. You will,

Actually, that applies to just about everything Republicans 'promise' is good for America. It's not.

Whenever Donald Trump does ANYTHING, you must look into the petty nature of Donald Trump for the true reasoning behind Trump's petty action(s).
In this case of Donald once again attacking ACA, we have one reason and only reason.
To get back at Barack Obama.

Remember....
Just within the last couple of weeks after AG Barr handed Donald Trump a clean slate as to the Mueller report, and almost immediately Trump redirected his petty anger at Barack Obama.
Obama, who Trump believes to be totally responsible for the whole Mueller investigation thing in the first place.
Donald Trump said within only hours after AG Barr's conclusion that Barack Obama was responsible for Mueller and Trump said Obama did that or started the process only to assist Hillary Clinton.

So....
Is it any wonder that Donald Trump would now do a full frontal attack against Obamacare? Against the ACA?
In Donald Trump's petty mind the best way to get back at Obama is to attack anything and everything Obama did as president. Attack all of Obama's achievements. And what better achievement to attack than Obamacare i.e. ACA?

Millions lose healthcare? Trump doesn't care.
The preexisting clause eliminated? Donald Trump doesn't care.
Pretending that republicans have better plan or any plan? Trump could care less about telling that lie.

Bottom line...
Donald Trump doesn't care. Trump doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything other than his taking his petty vengeance against Barack Obama by killing off ACA.
First off, Donald went after the deceased John McCain but Trump soon realized that even republicans dislike dead heroes being attacked.
Even by a Donald Trump.

But guess what....
Donald Trump WILL FAIL at his attempts to kill off ACA.
The people won't allow it. The courts won't allow it. And the republican congress won't allow it.
But you know who won't allow it the most?
Our American private healthcare system.
Our current "for profit" healthcare system will NEVER allow Donald Trump to dismantle Obamacare i.e. ACA.
For one, the status quo would lose millions of paid customers and lose billions possibly even trillions in profits.
Killing ACA would create massive instability nation wide.
And second, healthcare industry would be too fearful that dismantling ACA just might lead to a fully ran government healthcare system. Healthcare for all ran by the government or thru expanding Medicare for all.
THAT would cause a collapse in the current "for profit" healthcare system.
And THAT will never be allowed.

A few things like felon voting, yeah, but he's done some positive things also. #bothsides seem to approve most of the actions he's taken so far.

Please tell me what's wrong with felons, who have served their penalties for having committed their particular felonies, getting a return of their voting rights? Or are you of the mind that once you commit a felony, you will forever be disenfranchised from participating in voting, not to mention the trouble ex-felons have obtaining decent employment, housing, etc., etc.

Guess you like having someone who commits a crime to pay for it forever, right?

Maybe I wasn’t clear in my response to Indus. My response was that Desantis was “monkeying up” some things like felon voting but making positive changes in other areas. Florida Republicans are trying to add court fees and expanding other felony related convictions to their house bills for implementing amendment 4. The latest issue is that reparations for some are so high that they will never pay them back to allow them to vote.

So he wants complete repeal again, despite not getting it with complete control. Complete repeal without a plan to replace. Perhaps he's betting that if he just dangles a secret "best plan ever that'll cover everything and cheaply!" which will only come with his re-election .. People will re-elect him?

I could see a few million folks following that carrot...

The real stupid thing is that this is the same promise he made before the last election, and that turned out to be a lie. They had 2 years to pass their miracle plan, tried several times, but in the end could not come up with a single plan that was popular enough to even get a majority among themselves.

Yea, everybody's going to line up for a Republican promise to fix healthcare. They tried at least 70 times to kill ACA, they lied about wanting to fix healthcare in the 2016 election, and they've had 2 years in the majority to fix it. Sure yea, sure. If people who want healthcare taken care of and they still vote Republican, I don't no what to say.

I have to say I've been wrong before about how gullible people are but I'm having a really hard time imagining that America, after seeing Republicans shit their pants for the better part of a year trying to destroy their health care, would believe that THIS TIME they really have a secret, wonderful plan all along that they can only unveil after you elect them.

Seriously, Rick Scott? That dude and his wife stole some $3 billion in cash from FL patients and was rewarded with both a Governorship and now a Senate seat. ...right up Trump's alley, of course.

Actually, it wasn't that they couldn't come up with a plan that was popular enough to get a passing vote from Republicans, it was that they COULDN'T COME UP WITH A PLAN AT ALL. Remember that for all of their failed repeal attempts they have never exposed a single viable replacement plan. Their promise to "Repeal and Replace" has always been "Repeal and Trust That We Will Replace, Eventually."

If you are one of those people who is waiting for a Republican health care plan, you deserve to lose your health care.
