In a way, Amazon seems to do the opposite but also still annoying: ships stuff internally between their warehouses before it officially ships to keep their bs 2-day delivery window.Personally my biggest peeve is orders notifying as shipped when only a label has been created. MFer is not shipped and won't likely for days.
At least they didn't ferry your package back and forth between two stops. Multiple times.

Amazon opened a really huge dstro center not far from me. Must've been at least a few years ago. Pretty much everything i buy is probably in stock and could be delivered the same day, but they still try to charge me 3 bucks if I order "late." Sometimes I throw 'em a bone.Personally my biggest peeve is orders notifying as shipped when only a label has been created. MFer is not shipped and won't likely for days.
This is going back to very late 20th century. My gf at the time had to order radioactive "label" with a half life of just a few days, and she still got dicked around. The company, FedEx was built on lies right from the start. I saw a show 20/20, Nightline, 60 minutes, one of those type…talked about the various lies and sketchy things Fred Smith did during the founding of the company. Lied to the banks, lied to the government agencies, etc. (and their overnight delivery service was far superior to FedEx ground.)
They did that last week for a package of mine. Really annoying especially since it needed a signatureI have a feeling this delivery is not going to happen today:

This isn't the first time FedEx adjusted a delivery window to be earlier and then just completely blew past it, while never updating the estimated delivery.
At least I live in an apartment complex (and also WFH), so things just get signed by the package manager. They did that last week for a package of mine. Really annoying especially since it needed a signature
It seems just like Amazon service varies by area, so does the delivery of the big carriers, which makes sense.FedEx mostly does alright for me. UPS lately has just not been updating tracking in between the time the item departs one facility until it shows up at the local facility. I'm pretty sure an item going from New York City to Seattle probably has some intermediate stops in the course of a week, but not according to the tracking.
