Feds issue 4k orders to take guns from people who shouldn't have them

Yes it sounds like a fantasy announcement but the fed is going to act upon these failed system sales and take them back. Why did they allow the sale after 3 days if they couldn't perform the background check in the first place? This is how the wrong people legally get guns.

Hey if your driver license exam doesn't come back in 3 days you can go ahead and start driving? Hey if your credit check doesn't come back in 3 days just move into the new house anyway? If the fuel check on the airplane isn't complete in 30 mins we're just going to take flight anyway. Absolutely ridiculous

I wouldn't say enforcement is the problem. I'd say that as usually, government bureaucracy screwed up a system that should be fairly simple. 3 days? It should take the click of a computer button.

some states have longer wiating periods (iirc cali is 10 days)

last one i had took all of 3 minutes after i filled out the forms.

Here in FL for many years if you had a CCW no background check was required allowing you to buy at will. That was changed back in the early 2000's and we had to have one with each purchase.

In 2016 NCIS did 27,538,673 background checks. They screwed up on at least 4,000 or the information was slow on coming. Quite frankly if that's all the mistakes they made i'd be surprised.
