Triple play is like $99 a month before taxes. So that's like $110 a month after taxes. That's $50 more than what I'm paying just for cable internet.

Right but many of us just use cell phones..sometimes our work provides us cell phones anyway. So if it suites you sure go for it. But I really just could do with basic and internet except one channel my gf always watches when she is over, they don't offer on basic so I have to go with the preferred package which makes my internet only $10 more a month. For the speed I get I'm fine with that. If I were to just want internet I think it would be $60 alone.
I have free grandfathered Ooma so I don't need home phone service. I don't need cable TV either. I cut the cord over a year ago. Everything we watch we stream for free from the internet and OTA. One channel we watch we get for free through QAM and HDHomerun. So unless the TriplePlay package is $62 or less, any extra we pay for TV and phone is money wasted as we won't watch or use it.

England, Virgin Fibre 60mbps. I'm on some special deal where I pay for my years phone line up front £120 so I save £60 off that and then I only pay £10 per month for 6months then it reverts to about £21. The internet would be about £5 more expensive a month if I didn't get the phone line, so for an extra £5 I thought I might as well get the phone line.
I cancelled my Sky package as I wasn't watching anything.
