I've got a Biostar TA-970 ATX mobo, I think that it has several PCI-E x16 slots on it for GPUs, it's AM3/AM3+, can take a nice FX 8-core CPU from ebay on here. I'm not going to use it, if anyone wants it, let me know. I might be able to throw in 2x2GB DDR3-1600 just to get you started, if you don't have RAM for it, either.

(I may have an AM3 Athlon II X4 630 or 640 CPU around here somewhere. I bought one a long time ago off of ebay, it would theoretically work in that board, if I can find it.)

So, assuming that I can find the CPU, and dig out the DDR3, you the lucky winner, could have the basis of a multi-GPU rig for the cost of shipping. Just saying.

I also now realize that I said I was giving some routers and DVD-Rs and HDMI cables away, in the freebies thread. I have neglected that offer, sorry other mods. Was more concerned about my recent health issues lately, and cleaning up my apt., which is going slowly.

Edit: Found the board, it has two PCI-E x16 physical slots on it.
Found "a" Athlon AM3 CPU, I think, but I think that this one is a dual-core, not sure where the quad-core went to.

Mind to send them to Indonesia? My board only has a couple of RAM slots so I can't use my extra 4GB module to run ATLAS ( I have memory leak problem every time I run it, even in 1 CPU config). I'll pay for the cost.

I'm putting my request on Stefan's DRAM on hold because I only need a couple of his but I found out that those originally came in 3 DIMM per kit so I feel bad of taking them apart. So, if anybody here has X58 board or equivalent (triple channel CPU) and need more DRAM, please let Stefan know.

I used it for a video card, but I just sold 6 of them, and condensed. I have 2 28 thread Xeons, a 1700x, a 2600k and a 6700k at idle, not even turned on at the moment, so I have plenty of CPU power. I may sell come of those, kind of high end to be giving away.

OK< so my ebay buyer of one of my 2011-v3 motherboards is returning it because the bios is too old for his 6850, and he doesn't want to update the bios.

So.... Either someone here can donate any 2011-v3 CPU to me, or maybe I can donate the motherboard. Either way, PM me.

I don't know what it is about LGA 2011v3 right now, but the CPUs are outrageous. They make a new Ryzen system look very attractive by comparison.

That was a socket 2011, not v3, so I cancelled my bid and put one for $100 on a 8-core

I expect all my systems to run at least one GPU, and afaik, speeds below 3GHz can really hamper some projects. I don't know what the Turbo bins are on that QEYW CPU, but 2.2GHz base is pretty pathetic, imo...

Oh, I forgot to update this. Stefan finally sent me 2 DIMMs in early March and I received it in mid April. Since then, it purrs well inside my PC and you can see on my sig what I've done to his DRAM already.
Because of that, now I want to offer crashtech's DRAM that I got last year. It's DDR3 2x2GB kit of GSkill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ. It helped me through some memory bandwidth sensitive projects because it can be OC'ed to 2133 (loose timing) with standard voltage.

In the end, I want to thank @StefanR5R for helping me pushing through LHC project and @crashtech for the taste of a rather premium stuff.

No, no no.... Just curious. I am giving away a quad core 860k and a E5530 and 2 motherboards and ram on Sat for my sons brother-in-law. I have way too much crap, and can't sel it.

Ryzens on the horizon ! (as if I didn;t have enough already)

I am kind of broke this year with all the medical bills, but saving up for another Ryzen system. I have case, PSU, and SSD, and old video cards. (9800 GTX like)
