female jokes gone too far?

I know a bank of female jokes (as well as wife jokes) thanks to you guys, and my coworkers and I joke around probably 1-2x every week. Yesterday, the coworker sitting next to me announced to the group that she's tired of hearing them and wants me to stop. I was like :Q because they're pretty tame ones, like "What do you say to a woman with two black eyes?". This is great...now I got a feminist sitting next to me.

Now I have to start using PG jokes or knock-knock around her. :frown:

Some people may find that one offensive, especially if they have been beaten by a man..

You have to be really careful at work, I suggest you either tone it down or not say anything when she is around.

yeah you're not gonna get away with it very easily if there's people around. When I had an office, we were pretty relaxed and a few guys brought in a whoopee cushion... day in and day out it would go off once in a while. Well a few weeks passed and they got warned... cause some lady over the cubicle wall (obviously she's within hearing distance) complained about it. The thing was that she's on calls with customers a lot. Doh.

I would've gotten reprimanded by management or even fired here at work for saying such jokes. The company I work for is 80% women and they don't take lightly to such things.
