Feng Shui question: Bed position

I've started learning about Feng Shui, but I have a question regarding the positioning of the bed.

If I understand correctly, your feet should not be directly facing the bedroom door while sleeping. I came across the following site that has one of the command positions with the bed in the corner, feet facing the door:

Would this be considered a "coffin position?" I'm confused because the feet would still point towards the bedroom door.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I think by feet facing the door, they mean that it's directly in the line of the door. For example, from the door opening, draw a line all the way to the way. Basically, you don't want your bed to be on this line with your feet towards the door and your head towards the wall.

Thank you, that's what I'm thinking too but I want to make sure. I don't have many combination options with my desk and everything else. I know you're not supposed to have a desk in the bedroom, but college life calls for it.

My bosses were into Feng Shui where I used to work, the place was a fricken obstacle course with how things "needed" to be placed. They still ended up losing their business so I guess the luck didn't work

couldn't you save the effort and sprinkle some ground chicken feet dust around your apartment or call a spiritual cleanser to walk around with some sage?

It has nothing to do with Feng Shui, but I read once that we are supposed to sleep better with our heads pointed North.

Yes, because the magnetism of the North Pole would subtly pull the blood (which has iron in it) into the brain, increasing brain function.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the ideals entirely...there is something to be said about good furniture placement and how a room can flow. However you can get a bit carried away with letting it run your life!

my bed is perfectly in line with the bedroom room and i sleep with my feet toward the door
/shrug

In an office environment, when a person is in directly line of the door or a long hallway, this position usually has a high turn-over rate and is the first to be let go or to move on.
yes, that's because that kind of cube offers no privacy whatsoever. no shit the turnover rate is high. Nothing to do with "energy".

What a load of BS

I recommend the Penn and Teller "Bullshit!" episode about Feng Shui, it's very entertaining.

EDIT: Fantastic, it's available online.

Studying Feng Shui???

Instead of studying it, why don't you just make up a bunch of shit & publish a book called "The Art of Feng Shui." That's what everyone else did. (hint: it's a bunch of bullshit; see Penn & Teller's episode on it.)
