I don't know anything about Feng Shui, but I expect the prohibition on having your feet face the door, is so you don't have to maneuver first thing when walking into your room. It makes sense to me.

I've started learning about Feng Shui, but I have a question regarding the positioning of the bed.

If I understand correctly, your feet should not be directly facing the bedroom door while sleeping. I came across the following site that has one of the command positions with the bed in the corner, feet facing the door:

http://www.kenlauher.com/ask-ken/?Tag=feng shui bed position

Would this be considered a "coffin position?" I'm confused because the feet would still point towards the bedroom door.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

HellFreeze - Thank you for asking the question and clarification. The coffin position is when you are in direct line of the door with your feet pointing out the door. Keep in mind that it needs to be in a straight line from the door, not off set. The command position can then be in 3 locations as the article was shown. If a person's bed is on the same wall as the bed, this is called the gate keeper's position and will result in a restless nights sleep.

One time at work some retard was giving a nice girl from HR a bunch of shit about his cubicle not having the right feng shui. I would have literally fired him on the spot.

My g/f & I really enjoy the "gate keeper's position".

Well, I enjoy it, anyway.

Feng Shui is fine if you practise Daoism. For the rest of us, it's horse manure.

Incidentally, ancient Daoists also believed that cunnilingus was a good way to restore your qi, since women are the life givers. I suggest practising that instead. :awe:

Wow thanks Ken! I did not expect you to register on this site solely to answer my question. Thank you for clarifying this question for me. I'll send you a PM with one other question to avoid the ATOT humor .
