<< Well, yes. It's true I have a nice home, but the reason I'm taking out a loan is becuase my new company is requiring 3 million dollars for startup, my company was given a 2.5 million dollar ivnestment, and 500,000 is coming out of my pocket. Which leaves me with 200,000 left, and I want some buffer incase I run into some troubels. >>

Hey, why don't you show us what you're pitching to the investors? Surely if you're able to acquire 2.5 million in capital you have something to show for it?

I've personally always wanted a Ferrari, but then again ever since I came to know the Viper its been my second choice.

But why only go for a normal Viper. With the kind of money your talking I would get a Hennessey Venom 800.

$150,000-$170,000 US
800hp
0-60: 2.4 secs

An they look bad a$$ too.

Motor Trend

Hennessey's Website They have some movies.

Of course your not me and I'm not you but thats what i'd get.

Since you want style I'd have to go with Ferrari, but you'd have to get an F-50 to come close to the Venom power wise.

I also recommend this site for more choices.

Or for total overkill get a BMW 740 and armor plate it. Then go tear up the town. (If you haven't yet go to bmwfilms.com and watch them. The first one and I think the 3rd one(SuperStar) are the best 2 imo.

To Skoorb: If you looking for a new jet let me recomend the GV from Gulfstream. Tiss a wonderful machine it tiss. And it holds 19 ta boot

As a general rule of thumb, for every mile you drive in a Ferrari, you will have to spend $1 in maintenance. So you'd likely need to have a second car like your 1999 (????) 325xi.

As for the Viper...It's been said that one needs a shoehorn to get in, and that the cockpit is less than comfortable. Go for the Ferrari.

Okay, I quit reading about half way through the 2nd page, but if it hasn't been mentioned yet, have you considered a lotus?

I remember the days when I was looking to buy one of these guys..

I saw a Lamborghini kit where it mounts on a 303 or 304 ford block and no one would ever notice it's not real one. hehehe

I'm actually considering getting a viper soon but I dont like the new style... so I'm gonna hold off..

I really think spending over 100k on car is dangerous consider it might get stolen or smashed or people follow you home to kidnap your love ones, etc.. like that wouldn't happen to a viper.. but you can out run the kidnappers hahaha

anyway, I'm in greenwich ct and I see ferrari every 2-3 days and they do look nice... not a lot of vipers.. but personally I buy the viper and save the money for gas and insurance and a garage.

<< Theres a certain point where engine specs go from useless to ridiculous, its almost like getting a dual athlon mp computer to do word processing on. >>

And that's why I drive a Chevy Silverado with the 8.1L V8. Completely stock, except the radio and floormats. I'm very happy with it.

If you have that amount of money, who the hell cares about gas mileage. Besides the Ford Lightning, I don't know of many stock trucks that can do 0-60 in less than 7 seconds. Not bad for an almost 3-ton vehicle... It's nice to know I can tow 8 tons. I betcha if I lined up with a ferrari and raced, of course I'll lose. Throw 2000lbs of weight in the back, (Hmm, how about the bullcrap Qosis gave us?) and we'll see who's 0-60 time drops more. Muahahahaha....

One more thing I'd like to interject, and this is wholly my opinion. The ultimate American dream is to retire at an early age. Just think. You'd be set for life if you invest early and forget about a frickin luxury-waste-of-money car. If you need an expensive car to make yourself feel good, then it's obvious how weak you really are.

Assuming this isn't all BS, of course...
