ugh. hope FIC has gotten better from a year ago. my brother bought an FIC AZ-11 and it didn't align with the mounting holes in a standard atx mid-size case. had to use a different motherboard. check for reviews on the AD11. if the mobo goes bad, I wouldn't want to get stuck with return shipping and 15% restocking fee.

I would agree with Davemeister, I had an AZ-11 and while it did fit in the case, the first one they sent me had a bad CMOS chip, and its replacement adds an extra 17Mhz to the memory clock, works fine at 100Mhz but when set at +33Mhz it actually adds +50Mhz

The AD11 is supposed to be a good motherboard (check firingsquad.com), but I'm not sure this board is the actual AD11. If you look at the Mfg part number it's AD11-BSTK. If you go to the FIC motherboard section at CDW they list the AD11 for $139, and the mfg part number is just AD11.

Anyone have ideas about what this board might be?

I've got one of these, and I've had great luck with it. I wouldn't have normally bought an FIC either, but I caught a great deal on a refurb, and it's been rock solid. Be aware, though, that if this board isn't rev 1.2a or higher, it won't support an Athlon XP. Rev 1.2 (no A) won't support the XPs.

You're probably better off getting an ECS for $10 more.

Sure you can go for the ECS if you don't want to overclock.. but the AD11 is a SOLID board (Based on the AMD761 chipset). I've put together a couple systems with these boards and they overclock well if you can stand the DIP switches. For $60 it's pretty much a steal and you can use either DDR or SDR ram on it too (only 2slots for each if I remember correctly? Too lazy to check). It's faster than the KT266 chipset, but not faster than the KT266A.
