Was at EB and stared at it hard, then went to a local music/movie/book store who surprisingly had it, and stared at it hard again. I walked away both times with the same amount of money I came in with, but it might get a little harder if you tell us a bit more about the game.

What do you want to know?

It's definitely faster than the demo, but it's all dependant on your skill level. If you are just starting out your career, then you obviously aren't as quick as Sugar Ray Leonard, nor can you hit like Marvin Hagler.

The graphics are phenomenal, like the demo, but the collision detection problems are fixed. The arenas are spectacular. The create-a-fighter mode is very well done.

I haven't tried online play yet, probably will tonight.

Did I miss anything?

I played the second one for Xbox (Fight Night Round 2 I believe) and I thought it rocked. The controls are a hard system to learn but it's pretty fun and I'm sure the new one is even better.

My wife hates the realism of Fight Night R3, so I wont be picking it up. It's a damn shame too since my friend at work gets EA games for $20/ea... I picked up Madden, Tiger Woods and NFS: Most Wanted for $60 total a couple weeks ago.

Next game I think I'll get it Ghost Recon. That same friend can get it at a discounted rate. He didn't say a specific price, but he did say somewhere between $20-30. It's awesome that EA gives such a huge discount to their employees, then their employees pass the savings on to me...

I think it's the first game that could stand as a "reason" to get the 360.

I have the first one on the Xbox. Do you guys use the joysticks to hit or the buttons? I'm just so much faster with the buttons, although it's kinda cooler with the small joysticks.

I use the joysticks to fight. That is what made FN unique relative to the other boxing games and I loved both of them. I'll fire up R3 over the weekend.

Well...see...with Fight Night I downloaded the demo to try the game before buying it. She saw the realism and slow motion scenes and immediately didn't want me to get the game.

With Ghost Recon I'm showing her the game before I buy it. Once it's purchased we have no choice but to keep it. I hope...

It's a friend of a friend that works at EA. My friend passes the savings onto me through his friend. So I don't want to push it too much.

No. Normally I just buy the game before she sees or knows anything about it. She doesn't normally care what I play. The hi-def bone crunching slow-motion goodness of Fight Night was something she couldn't handle though. So she told me I'm not getting it and I didn't put up too much of a fight.

The demo was amazing except for the replays after when you knock someone down. The blood shooting out and the facial movement looks horrible. Other than that everything from gameplay to graphics is amazing.
