File Encryption needs

I have some files that I want to encrypt on my computer. Needs are:

~Secure 1 folder and sub-folders
~Have to be able to edit and use files easily on a daily basis
~Cheap Price or shareware if possible

The only other thing is that many people have acess to this computer and this user name.
I would appreciate any hel[/information yall have!

It's $99 (on their site) vs. Free for the TrueCrypt.

FYI and may not be what you want... if they are Office docs, you can used the Tools section of the Save As dialog to get they encryption functions in Office. It gives you RC4 128-bit encryption.
