Not sure if this is the best place for this or not...I'll try and make this as short and sweet as possible.
A buddy of mine has a home based business. He has 2 laptops and a file server (All running Windows 7 pro). Initially the My Documents folders on the laptops pointed to the file server, but since he travels, this isn't feasible as he would no longer have access to his documents.
The server does have a copy of the documents from his main laptop.
What I'm looking for is some software that will check the contents of the My Documents folder on Laptop A and compare it to the My Documents folder on the server, and copy over any new or updated files. Laptop B would do the same thing, except it would check the server for newer files due to it being a backup laptop if the main one goes down.
Ideally this would all happen in the background, continuously, with the user not having to initiate the process. Although he is savvy enough he could kick something off if need be.
Anything like this exist that won't break the bank?
Thanks all! And mods, please move this to the correct forum if this isn't an appropriate place.
