File Sharing with windows ME

I have two computers on a network right now, one running xp pro and the other me. Me's networking is bacially crap. I want to move my files from the ME comp to the XP one so I can format the ME one.

Problem is, I got no clue how to enable filesharing with ME. Both computers are in the same workgroup, so I can see the ME computer when I look at the workgroup list. When i try to connect, it says the computer is not acessiible. You might now have permission to use this network resource. Some stuff about the admin, and then network path was not found.

Any ideas for setting this up?

Did you pick any folders to be shared?

Do it the easy way, take the hard drive out of the ME machine, slave it in the XP machine and tranfer your files (easier and faster that way). Then put the hard drive back, wipe it, and enjoy.

If you are bent on doing it the networking way, you may want to try running the Network Setup Wizard from the Windows XP CD-ROM on your Windows ME machine. It seems to fix a lot of difficulties I have had in the past with ME-to-XP file sharing.

I just got it working. For some reason, you have to be logged onto an account in order to file share. Don't know why...

Anyway, Windows ME sucks.
