file transfer problem with wireless network

Hi everyone,

I am running a home network with a 4 port router + access point.
The file server is connected via cat 5 wired cable to the router.

When I used another computer, connected to the home LAN via wireless adapter and initiate files transfer from the file server to the local machine, most of the time, the files ended up corrupted, especially for bigger file size.

I have verified that the files on the file server are error free.

If I go to the file server and initiate the file transfers, the transfer will be fine.

All machines are using win2k pro.

Could someone kindly help?

What FTP client are you using? Have you tried other clients?

Do transfers from the PC to the server go without error?

Have you tried the other mode? (if using Standard, try Passive mode; if using Passive mode, try Standard)
(this step is pure fishing .... mode really shouldn't matter, especially on the same LAN)

Thanks for the reply.

I am using file and printer sharing for ms network that comes with win2k.
File transfer from pc to server, so far has no problem.

Since I am not using ftp, there is not passive/standard setting, right?
