music in FF games is always so fucking good
Agreed. Though FFXIII style seemed to be very different than all other FF's imo and I didn't like it that much.

Auto-combat and endless running through corridors... I lasted about 2hrs then I gave up on FFXIII. Doubt I'll ever finish it. What a disappointment.
That's too bad, it had a top 3 story for this franchise. Very well thought out story and an interesting ending. I felt like it was worth the grind of finishing the game just to finish the story.

9 is where it's at, you gotta finish that :thumbsup:I never finished 9 on PS and hated 10 on PS2. FF isn't what it used to be any more.
and I honestly would not care if the story was bad because..
No offense, but.....wtf???
I hope you're joking, or at least exaggerating, because that is precisely what is wrong with the series these days: the story and characters taking a back seat to the fighting/magic systems.
I don't get it. How you could not care about the story (or care if its bad or not) in an FF game, or any role-playing game, is baffling to me.
All I'm saying is the ff12 was fun to play the story was garbage but the story's in every final fantasy has been WTF with the exception of
FF6, ff12 had a battle system that was a step in the right direction in my opinion now I don't expect to see a good ff story that is an omage to the classic nes-snes games especially sync square can sell us the old ones over and over and over for our ds,psp's and iPhone's respectively and we buy them just like sonic or the starwars prequel's we have none to blame but ourselves for buying it and enabling the developers
I've given up on FF. They just aren't as good as the older ones anymore, it's all about graphics and making new battle systems now. I'd rather go back and play ff7, ff3, etc.
That is what FF has been about since FF3....
Do you know what a sentence is?
I FREAKING LOVE the boss battle theme. From 0:33-1:11, I just love the way the music escalates.

Except 4, 5, 6 and 7 all had very interesting systems.
Sure, but interesting is just a personal opinion...
I personally found XIII's battle system to be very interesting. I actually was quite fond of it later on, though it was limited in the beginning.
I liked how some of the battles in XIII were more difficult than any other FF, which were all extremely easy.

I don't have it any more and no idea where my PS1 is.
Well, you wouldn't need an original PlayStation, you can play PSX games on any PlayStation 2 or any PlayStation 3, including the ones that don't have PS2 backwards compatibilty. It's actually not impossible to find Final Fantasy IX for sale used, or even new, in retail stores, but you can also buy the game as a PlayStation Network download for the PS3 and PSP.
...or you could buy a brand new hard copy for $12.
