Got my Athlon 64 3400+ to work Prime95 stable at 2.475 GHz on air cooling with 225 memory bus 1:1. Only about 50 MHz better of what my old 3200+ could but because of BH-5 working synchronuously with the chip at aggressive 2-2-2-5 I get 82 seconds SuperPI @2MB. Asus K8V performs just beautifully. The trick is that refresh row cycle time has to be relaxed while all other timings are the most aggressive that BH-5 is capable of. Beauty.
To get this performance with mobile Barton you need to overclock it to 2.8-2.9 GHz.

Prove it
No doubt, I just ordered a DFI Ultra Infinity and 2x512 sticks of Buffalo CH6 last night. Since my mobile 2600 will do 2.6ghz no problem, I'd be interested in a comparison myself.

Guys, I am lazy dude so I won't be posting any pictures. The comparison is with my two mobiles, believe me I know what I am talking about. I have my faster mobile 2600+ now running at 2.64 GHz in NF7-S with the same type of memory (BH-5) in 1:1 sync. Not even close to 64-3400+.

Yeah, I know. But at least I'm getting something out of my addiction, unlike those idiots who put $300 a day into a vein!

did my 225fsb posts have any effect on this purchase or was this something a long time coming?

i got decent Geil ram, nothing special. i'm luck to pull 225

i can't even do high FSBs though to make up for my core's lacking ability. my POS audigy sound card gets PCI latency issues as soon as i push my FSB beyond stock. everytime i type on my keyboard i get chirps and noises, so i'm stuck running at stock FSB for now.

I envy you. Unfortunately my BH-5 won't go over 227-228 with 2-2-2-5 on 2.8V. Asus K8V has voltage only to 2.8V and PCI/AGP problem at about 228. If you get it to 233 I have to relax memory timmings and the performance drops.
By the way what is your SuperPI @2MB on 2.61 GHz?
I am definitely getting Prometeia this summer but I need some fundraising for that first.

Actually, it was the combination of the newest NF7-S's problems, along with some people hitting 250fsb with a mobile Barton and a DFI. BUT, if this sucker makes my soundcard make any noise besides the noises it's supposed to make, I will be sending it back, and getting another Epox 8RDA3+. My 8RDA3+ will do as high as 219fsb, but I was needing another socket A motherboard because my daughter's now got my old XP2400, and it did 10.5x212.5 in my system for nearly a year, and the crappy mobo I've got in hers won't do that.

82 seconds. That is very good. I'll have Prometeia Mach II in less than 3 months, then we shall talk.
