FINALLY chose my PSU :D

Im looking at spending $100-$125 CANADIAN, which means thats roughly $100-$110 USD..
Im looking to power the computer in my specs with a few additions (7900GT volt modded, DFI NF4, 1-2 more HDDs, DVDRW, possible dual core in the future).. I am NOT running SLI yet, but Im thinking of in a year or so..

Here are my options for a new PSU:

OCZ Powerstream 520W $128CAD (cheaper than usual since its on sale, usually $160CAD+)
Seasonic S12 500W $136CAD
Enermax Liberty 520W $140CAD
Fortron 500W Blue Storm $116CAD
Antec NeoHE 500W $125CAD
Antec TrueControl II 550W $80CAD (Used for 1 year)

Which one should I go for?

UPDATE: I changed my mind twice. Ordered a Seasonic S12-500W, then cancelled and got the Powerstream 520W.....now, finally....I've decided on the OCZ GameXStream 600W! It's only $10 more than the Powerstream and $4 more than the Seasonic..600W, dual rails, nice warranty (OCZ plant near my area), Active PFC, can't go wrong with it ..and I hear it's just a rebranded FSP Epsilon!

Im trying to figure out why you would even need a 600W PSU for your rig, just get a 500W Enermax if you really need a new PSU...isnt your 480W enough anyways??? Hell a Fortron 450W would run what you got. 600W is overkill

I wouldnt get one if I didn't need it, but it appears that my TP 480W won't fit on the new PCIe boards.....you need an additional 4 pins and the board requires all these other plugs and stuff...also im buying this PSU used locally and its only a few $$ more for the top of the line so why not go for it?

The Seasonic doesn't have the little twitch on startup. The Enermax makes a slight sound on powerup. Nothing to worry about, but for me, a little annoying.
I would always take the Seasonic even if the prices were the same/$20 less.

Well if you can get it used at a commendable price then Id say Enermax all the way. Seasonic has issues with some of the DFI boards and its not even recommended on their PSU recommendation list at dfi-street.com, whether they're referring to NF3 or NF4 mobos, I cant recall, but just to warn you that there have been capability problems with Seasonic. What r your prices anyways? I still think you should go for 500W Liberty Enermax, but if its only a "few $$$ more" for a 620W, Id probably jump the wagon.

My apologies, I just reread my post and saw a typo...capability--->Compatibility. Anyways, I didn't mean to make it seem like a Seasonic problem because I agree it is certainly a DFI one. Seasonic PSUs are great for other mobos for the most part.

Good god. You don't BUY because you need fvcking 600W. You buy for stability. The 600W PSU has a reasonable 18A per 12V rail. I say the 500W doesnt offer enough and the 430 doesn't either.

I have a DFI and a Seasonic. The new Seasonics should be fine with the new DFI boards.

I have a DFI and a Seasonic. The new Seasonics should be fine with the new DFI boards.

Assuming all things are equal, if you need 300 watts a 400 watt PSU is going to do just as well as a 600 watt PSU.

I'd go with an enermax liberty 500W, i've got a seasonic myself, but while it may work most of the time with DFI boards there's a chance it won't. Playing it safe is not a bad thing and the liberty is a good PSU.

It's not like 300W more than necessary has to be more stable than 100W more than necessary.

Get the Seasonic. I just bought one about a month ago to go with my son's new board/chip/video card and the board was a DFI Ultra. No problems and he's on it constantly. Personally, for what you have, the 430/500 would be plenty.

if i were you with a dfi motherboard i'd get the enermax 620 liberty. why can't people stick with the OP instead of trying to convince him otherwise? if i wanted to power my x1900xt with a 380 watt psu i would, and u could too. but i'd rather be safe than sorry and go a lil higher than to always have to worry. if you're using the psu on any other motherboard than dfi, i'd get the seasonic.

Just an overpriced Topower in my opinion; doesn?t hold a candle to a Seasonic, Forton-Source, or Enhance. Your basically paying for the OCZ name (and very good warranty), that is until the new Forton based units hit the shelves.

I have an OCZ powerstream 600 it's awesome
520 is the best because of it's 12V rail. I highly recommend them

Their warranty is the best ni the business.
