I was talking about the OP stating that he cleared 7K selling 50 Ipods.

Either way, you are kidding yourself if you don't think Apple is making a profit on Ipods. Do you see what comparable mp3 players from other manufactures are going for? I'd be willing to bet that Apple is making a VERY healthy profit on every Ipod it sells. Just look at their stock price over the last few years.

Of course I think Apple is making a profit - that's exactly what I wrote. The OP states he made about $140 per Ipod (or something like that). In order for Apple to profit, they would have to sell the Ipods at such a cost that they could make money, and still have room for the reseller to make $140+ per unit. That is certainly a big gap, regardless of anything else, for a sub $1000 item.

So..... if Apple isn't selling Ipods to resellers in such a way they can make $140 per unit, then the OP is lying, or these are stolen units. Not to mention if a reseller can make that much per unit, why isn't Apple selling them to the resellers for more?

How did they come direct from the apple warehouse if you paid a third party?

The third party may be a VAR of apple. (Value Added Reseller), Apple will aparantley dropship orders, so he had them drop shipped here. He also may be employed by apple overseas.

I'm not real sure, but i can get 100 iPods a month, every month. Its a lot of work pacakging everything, but it beats working retail.

On a related note, your eBay feedback sucks.

My feedback sux b/c ive been selling on eBay since i was about 12 years old. The ipods are being sold under bergproductions on ebay, they actually aren't sold yet, they are selling. THe feedback under that acount is low, but a least there are no negs.
