Try bumping up the voltage a notch at a time. 1.65V probably will not cut it.
dougjnn, Yes, leave the rubber feet on. That helps keep your HSF stable, and from rocking around on the core when you install it. All 1200's are not unlocked, I have heard about some that still have the bridges cut. You will have to look at the L1's to see. As for the thermal pad, I personally do not use them, and prefer Arctic Silver thermal grease. Some people swear by thermal pads, as long as they are of good quality, and allowed to go through the proper phase change (reaching a certain high temperature) to set them. Also, if you decide to use thermal grease, it is best not to use your finger to apply it. Use a plastic card or a piece of plastic wrap on your finger to smooth it on the core in a thin, even layer.
