<< Can you write a guide for painting the monitor? >>
The monitor is not that difficult. Just time consuming. All you have to do is completely disassemble it. Separate all the housing parts. And you will want to take the button actuators out of the bront bezel before trying to paint them. All you have to do is use some 220 grit sand paper to scuff up the surface. Just enough to knock the shine off it. Then I put 2 coats of primer in it. Then 3 coats .............

Don't mean to be a kill joy, but, a colleague of mine lost 2 fingers when messing around in side of a monitor. If your not trained in dissasembling monitors, I would advise you seek advice before messing around with it.
For those whose don't know and may be asking, "lost 2 fingers?", monitors store charge, touching certain parts i.e. tube, clips, a1 mechanism etc can potentialy blow ya arm back and 'burn' you if not killing you in the process. Leave it for a week, and let is discharge (unplugged) before fiddling.
