Well, took me forever but I finally have some numbers up for my 8800GTX Sli system. Had a few driver issues but those have been resolved. I didn?t expect a massive increase over my single 8800GTX scores but a few were a tad disappointing. I am going to wipe the system in a day or two just to see if the driver issue I was having wasn?t completely solved?..leading to a few poor (lol, I suppose 11k in 06 isnt really poor) scores.

So, take a peek and holla back!

8800GTX single card > 2006 points = ?
8800GTX SLI > 2006 points = ?

Oh Im not saying its worth it...yet. I had the opportunity to nab both cards for $810 though so...not a bad price and in the future having the 2nd will make a diff.

You're completely cpu limited. Look at the difference between the sm2 and sm3 scores.

I was thinking that might be it. Its funny, I'll be THRILLED if thats the answer! I just want to know I'm not scoring low thanks to a mistake on my part. The way its set up now, i should be playing any game with just about anything turned up until my next upgrade...in a year.

Well at least your set for the next 3 years gaming wise (if you decided to wait that long to upgrade). I don't see anything coming in that time that those cards together won't run and run it good.

EDIT:Wait your running a 24" so you will probably need to upgrade within the next year or so . They would last me 3 years anyway .

thx for teh kind words Yeah, I upgrade once a year anyway....gotta keep the other LAN PCs up and running. When i upgrade, my "old" parts just trickle down to the other machines.

great scores, not to mention a great score in buying two 8800GTX's for about the price of one...That's a deal not to be missed. Nice rig.

great rig although you're CPU limited. atleast overclock the hell out of that C2D. since your dad works for intel, maybe he could get you a nice quad core CPU? that would really improve your score.

It is true about the CPU limitation. I made a "lazy" OC with my QX6700 to 3466mhz (13*266), and my scores rose quite a bit:

3DMark01: ~59800
3DMark03: ~56500
3DMark05: ~21300
3DMark06: ~17200
AquaMark3: ~176500

Everything but the CPU is at stock clocks. RAM is also only PC6400 CL5.5.5 T2.

Rig:

EVGA 680i
QX6700
4096mb PC6400
2 * 8800 GTX SLI
X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro
36gb Raptor
150gb RaptorX
Enermax Galaxy 1000W

This setup, no matter if it was using a 1000W, 850W, or 700W PSU wil still draw and use the same amount of power.

For everyday use and gaming the CPU is underclocked to 2400mhz, and the second 8800 GTX is not used (SLI=off). I'll keep it at those settings until I play games, that don't run well at 16Q*AA/16*AF V-Synced. The benchmarks were to test if the hardware worked and for fun

The excessive hardware is simply so I can't be bothered upgrading for a year or so, but be confident it can run well anything I want it to at good settings.
