I'm also not a fan of Finder, Explorer isn't perfect either but it's much more useable by default. For example accessing a random network share via Finder makes you go through the stupid connect to server dialog vs just typing \\somename in the address bar like explorer. That's probably not a big deal for home users but when you are trying to use OS X in a business environment it's incredibly frustrating.

You can add http://www.netwares.com to the list of cheap refill sites. Pretty good service. You can save a lot of money going the refill route, especially if you do quite a bit of color photo printing.
