Fine, my 3dMark scores AND!!! my unreal tournament benchmark!

I realize that 3dmark is heavily under fire as a single tool to determine if your computer is running up to what it should be, so here is my 3dmark score and my unreal tournament benchmark, any feedback would be great.

I am posting this to see if I should overclock my cpu and ram, and maybe my vid card, to improve my performance!!!

athlon 1.2 ghz at stock speeds
256 mb at pc133
40 and 30 gig hd's at 7200 rpm
leadtek winfast geforce 4 ti 4200
Aopen ak73 pro motherboard

Thats about it, heres the scores:

So... yeah, I think my cpu and or ram is holding up my cards perf...

but, thats why I am posting, so that maybe someone could inform me...

Oh yeah, the vid card is still running at stock speeds too....

Your 'flyby' scores are fine but your 'botmatch' scores are miserable. You're going to need a new processor, mobo and memory.

Should be able to pull off the following:
EPOX or MSI KT-333 based board: $85
Athlon XP 2000+ CPU: $99
512 MB PC2700: $120

I'm guessing the game looks great but you get your @55 kicked anytime you get more than a few people in a game. If you cant swing it now, get a new mobo and 256mb of memory. When you have some money drop on a new processor.

3dmark won't even run properly on my new rig(less than 2 days old). It screws up my drivers on my video card and all kinds of blue screens, mass insanity. Uninstall 3dmark and everything is peachy. Man oh man this rig rocks(I just had to show it off here).

Don't fall into the SDRAM vs. DDR trap. Just buy an AX7 heatsink, overclock you processor to 1400MHz. Perhaps if your board supports a 133MHz fsb then go for the AGOIA-Y 1600+ for $53 shipped and party down at 1700-1800MHz easy. Overclock your Ti4200 and you should be getting closer to 10000 in 3DMark. My wife and son are both running in the 1300MHz range with the identical video cards (Radeon 9000's @ 295/240). My son's is running a Morgan on 296MHz DDR, while my wife is using a Celeron 1.0a with PC-133 on a 138MHz fsb. While 3DMark shows a difference of 800pts, in actual gaming framerates for UT the Morgan is only about 4-5fps ahead. Buying new, SDRAM isn't a good choice, but if you have an existing system with PC-133, you won't die without DDR if gaming is your priority.

I agree with Rogue, O/c'd my 1200 T-bird to 1333, advanced ram settings to Turbo> 4way interleave and increased my 3dmark score by 1400 points.
Thats with a R8500LE so i imagine you would see similar improvements if not better!
